HILCO: Hydraulic Power Units

The Hilliard Model HPU-E2 Hydraulic Power Unit is designed to operate a wide range of Hilliard/Twiflex Brake Systems. Fully enclosed in a NEMA 4 cabinet, the unit is ideally suited for use in extremely harsh environments.

HILCO: Spring Applied Electric

The MXEA electric released caliper features a DC pancake motor driving through a recirculating ball screw to release lever. Thrust is provided by a fully enclosed helical compression spring. Braking force can be manually adjusted down to 50% of maximum rated force. This brake also has a manual release feature.

Applications

Stage equipment, winches, and cranes.

HILCO: Spring Applied Hydraulic

Often described as "Safety Brakes," these units are typically installed on the low-speed shaft or final drive of critical equipment. Preset torque profiles can be achieved when controlled by Hilliard Hydraulic Power Units.

Applications

Downhill conveyors, hoists, mills, elevators, escalators, and wind turbines.

HILCO: Spring Applied Pneumatic

Spring applied pneumatically released brakes can be conveniently hooked up to shop air supplies or powered by stand-alone compressors. This brake has convenient features such as automatic pad-wear adjustment, variable torque adjustment, quick-change pads, modular design and easy maintenance.

Applications

Steel process lines, mining machinery, hoists, rail cars, and wind turbines.

HILCO: Direct Acting Mechanical

Spring applied calipers feature a hand knob for adjustment of spring force, providing an effective and economic solution for light drag or tension brakes where hand setting can give adequate braking control. Lever action models can interface with a variety of standard actuators.

Applications

Turntables, industrial fans, and tensioning applications.

HILCO: Direct Acting Hydraulic

Like every Twiflex caliper, they feature easy friction pad replacement and simple mounting. A range of master cylinders including air/hydraulic pressure intensifiers are available, making them ideally suited for marine applications.

Marine propulsion, turbines, winches, wood chippers, car shredders, dynomometers.

HILCO: Direct Acting Pneumatic

These fast-acting calipers serve light- to heavy-duty braking applications. Sensitive and rapid response to air pressure level also makes them ideal for tension control applications. Quick-release clips secure friction pads for simple replacement.

Paper converting, wire-making machines, and marine propulsion.

HILCO: Quench Oil Reconditioning System

The HILCO Quench Oil Reconditioning System includes a reclaimer, a prefilter, a final filter, and storage tanks for contaminated and purified fluids.

Applications

Allows reliable reclaiming of the following fluids: hydraulic fluids, cutting oils, castor oils, quench oils, insulating oils, lubricating oils, transmission fluids, vacuum pump oils.

HILCO: Transfer Valves

HILCO Transfer Valves assure positive sealing for uninterrupted flow and a low pressure drop. They feature a spring-loaded pad and shaft design with large cross-section o-ring seals. The turning mechanism features a choice of handle, wormgear, or actuator designs to meet your requirements.

Applications

Duplex filters, duplex heat exchangers, compressor lube and seal oil, fuel oil, water, chemical applications.

HILCO: Stacked Disc Cartridge

Stacked Disc Cartridges

Saflow™ (DS) and Saflow™ D (DD) Cartridges withstand cold starts and high pressure differentials. These specially designed stacked disc cartridges provide protection at high pressure differentials brought on by cold starts and high viscosities. The stacked cellulose paper discs with labyrinth oil channels also provide depth filtration and high dirt-holding capacity.

Applications

Diesel gas engine lubes, quench oils, EDM coolants, lube oils, and hydraulic oils.

Hilsorb Dryer Cartridges quickly and effectively remove solid and water contaminants from hydraulic, lube and insulating oils. The PD cartridge is made with a patented four-ply construction and is available in two efficiency ratings.

PL Pleated Paper Cartridges

Microgard™ cartridges provide reliable, long-life contamination control. These efficient filter cartridges feature three filtration layers: outer cellulose-media layer for coarse filtration , an intermediate glass-media for microfiltration, and an inner cellulose-media layer for added support.

Safegard™ single-layer pleated paper cartridges are economical for use in applications requiring general filtration. Disposable cartridges feature molded urethane ends on various sizes. Plated metal end caps are also available with controlled radius pleats to maximize useable filtration area.

Applications

Refrigeration compressors (lube and coolant), gas turbines, centrifugal lubricated couplings, high-pressure fluid filtration, and test stands.
